Spiker Pro ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("Spiker Pro App"), website (spikerpro.com), and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
This policy applies to all users of the platform, including Players, Tournament Organizers, Coaches, and Court Owners.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, password (encrypted), phone number, date of birth, gender, and profile photo.
- Player Profile: Volleyball skill level, preferred positions, playing history, and persona type (Player, Coach, Organizer, Court Owner).
- Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
- Tournament Data: Registration details, team information, match scores, and performance statistics.
- Communications: Support tickets, feedback, in-app messages, and correspondence with us.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, push notification tokens, and mobile network information.
- Location Data: With your consent, we collect GPS location to show nearby games, courts, and coaches. You can disable this in your device settings.
- Usage Data: App interactions, pages visited, features used, session duration, and crash logs.
- Log Data: IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs.
- Push Notification Data: Device tokens for delivering push notifications. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings and within the app.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Payment Provider: Transaction confirmations and payment status from Stripe.
- Social Login: If you sign in via a social platform, we receive basic profile information as permitted by your privacy settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our Services
- Create and manage your account and profile (including Player, Coach, Organizer, and Court Owner profiles)
- Process tournament registrations and payments
- Calculate and update your Elo ranking
- Show relevant games, tournaments, coaches, and courts near your location
- Send transactional emails (registration confirmations, password resets, match updates, booking notifications)
- Deliver push notifications based on your preferences
- Facilitate in-app messaging between users
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you
- Analyze usage trends to improve our Services
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud or technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information:
- With Other Users: Your public profile (name, ranking, tier badge) is visible to other players. Tournament participation and match results are shared with other participants.
- With Tournament Organizers: When you register for a tournament, organizers receive your name, email, division, and team assignment to manage the event.
- With Coaches: When you book a coaching session, the coach receives your name and booking details. When a coach accepts a booking, you receive their contact and session details.
- With Court Owners: If you book or use a court, relevant contact information may be shared to facilitate coordination.
- With Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Firebase (push notifications), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (app hosting) — bound by contractual data protection obligations.
- For Legal Reasons: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Coaching Services Data
If you use Spiker Pro's coaching features (as a Coach or Player), we additionally collect:
- Coach Profile Data: Headline, bio, specializations, hourly rate, years of experience, free trial offerings, and profile photos.
- Booking Data: Session requests, confirmations, completions, free trial usage history, and session notes.
- Reviews & Ratings: Player-submitted ratings and comments about coaching sessions, which are displayed publicly on coach profiles.
- In-Booking Messaging: Messages exchanged between coach and player within a booking context. Messages are stored to maintain conversation history and are visible only to the two participants.
- Subscription Data: Coach subscription status and Stripe payment data for the coach listing fee. Full payment details are handled by Stripe; we only store subscription status and identifiers.
Coaches may delete their profile at any time, which will delist them from discovery, cancel their subscription, and remove their coach persona. Booking and review history is retained for player records.
6. Tournament Organizer Data
If you create or manage tournaments on Spiker Pro, we additionally collect:
- Event Management Data: Tournament details you provide (name, location, dates, format, rules, fees, divisions), schedule configurations, and match results you enter.
- Payout Information: Banking and payout details processed through Stripe Connect for receiving tournament registration revenue. Full bank details are handled by Stripe; we only store payout status and identifiers.
- Registrant Access: As an organizer, you have access to registered players' names, email addresses, division assignments, and team placements for the purpose of managing your event.
- Organizer Activity: Actions taken within the organizer dashboard (schedule generation, team assignments, score entry, waiver management) are logged for audit and dispute resolution purposes.
You are responsible for handling registrant data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
7. Court Owner Data
If you list or manage volleyball courts on Spiker Pro, we additionally collect:
- Court Listing Data: Court name, location/address, photos, court type, surface type, availability schedule, amenities, and any associated fees.
- Contact Information: Contact details you provide for court inquiries, which may be shared with users who book or inquire about your court.
- Usage Data: Court listing views, booking activity, and user interactions with your listing.
8. Messaging Data
Spiker Pro provides in-app messaging features for user coordination:
- Direct Messages: Messages exchanged between users are stored to maintain conversation history. Messages are visible only to participating users.
- Booking Messages: Messages within coaching bookings are stored and visible only to the coach and player involved.
- Reported Messages: If a message is reported for misconduct, the message content and reporter information may be reviewed by Spiker Pro staff for moderation purposes.
- Retention: Messages are retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts will have message content anonymized, but the message record may be retained for the other participant's history.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. You may request account deletion at any time through the app or by contacting us at privacy@spikerpro.com.
Certain data (e.g., match results, ranking history, booking records) may be retained in anonymized form for statistical purposes, dispute resolution, and platform integrity even after account deletion.
10. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Bcrypt password hashing
- JWT-based authentication with token rotation
- Role-based access control
- Rate limiting on sensitive endpoints
- Regular security audits
However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data

- Delete your account and data
